2008KIA亚洲极限运动会 Day 4

5月3日，终于等到滑板街式项目的比赛了，早上8点，滑手们就来到场地开始练习，因为预赛安排在上午11点，现场还没有观众，下面是活动的现场情况。

上午11点，比赛在还没有观众的时候就开始了，王冥君在比赛中

共有24名滑手参加了比赛，但有很多美国滑手参加

最终预赛结果令大家很失望，所有中国滑手们都没有进入决赛，前10名中仅有4名滑手是亚洲滑手。

下午4点，滑板街式决赛开始。

大家一致看好的美国滑手Tyler Hendley在决赛中发挥很好

最终冠军美国滑手Dayne Brummet获得，奖金6000美圆！美国滑手Hendley获得亚军、澳洲小滑手Ben获得季军。

所有中国滑手在这次亚洲区比赛中都尽了自己的努力，但来自美国等其他非亚洲国家的滑手的水平更高，而且本届亚洲极限运动会的精彩程度也明显高于往年，这也标志着亚洲滑手的水平正逐步提高，在比赛中有很多亚洲滑手的亮点，去年冠军新加坡滑手Bin的技术比去年更有提高，在练习中展示了很高的技术水平，具备了争夺前三名的实力；首次参加亚洲极限运动会的日本滑手同样让观众和在场的滑手为其喝彩，但他们在比赛中发挥失常，没能充分展示自己的水准；而且中国香港滑手Johnnie Tang在比赛中的表现也为中国滑手赢回了颜面，不得不承认中国滑板的水平与其他国家相比而言还有很大差距，使大家大开眼界的是来自美国的Tyler Hendley以几乎完美的发挥赢得现场的阵阵掌声，他的弧面FS Flip、Big Flip过断桥、Nollie Big Spin过断桥、Super 360 Flip Bank to Bank、Kickflip大GAP Drop in.....给大家留下了非常深刻的印象，但大家在最后颁奖时刻却发现他站在亚军的位置上.....值得一提的是，老将麦当劳在昨天赢得U池冠军后也加入了街式比赛的角逐，而且他以一轮流畅的翻腾动作完成了他的比赛，很可惜的是他也与前三无缘.....最终美国滑手Dayne Brummet以一个Switch 50-50赢得了6000美元。赛后，观众们指出Dayne Brummet在比赛中穿的服饰好像是三位裁判中的某个裁判的自主品牌.....

诚然，ESPN举办的Asia X Games亚洲极限运动会为了提高赛事的观赏性和促进亚洲滑手技术的进步，允许欧美国家的选手参与比赛，但多多少少让人感觉自相矛盾。倒不是亚洲选手没有勇气与欧美选手同场竞技，而是比赛完全可以不使用“亚洲”这个前缀。

May 3rd, the skateboard park finals finished with American pro rider Dayne Brummet got the champion and 6,000 usd in this Asia X Games, the 2nd place goes to American pro rider Tyler Hendley, 18 years old young gun Ben from OZ followed him. All the Chinese skaters did their best in this competition, but the foreign skaters' leverl was higher and also asian skaters improved a lot than last year, the last champion Bin from Singapore showed his wonderful skills in the pratice, and the new coming Japanese skater really got a storm of applause in the prelims, also HK skater Johnnie Tang left an impressed name to all the audience......We have to admit there is a long way to go for China skateboarding, and American skater Tyler Hendley really did some awesome tricks in the finals, like FS Flip in the ramp, Big Flip over the bridge, Nollie Big Spin over the bridge, Super 360 Flip Bank to Bank, Gap Kickflip Drop in.....but we found he stood in the 2nd place finally, also old dog Andy Macdonald really spread his fame from vert into park, nice run in the finals didnt make him into th top 3.....American rider Dayne Brummet's switch 50-50 brought him the final gold medal and 6,000 usd, but his t-shirt brand belonged to a Chinese judge from the 3 judges.....

Of course, ESPN permits non-asian skaters enter Asia X Games to improve the ornamentation and the level of asian skaters, but it feels like self-contradiction a little. It is NOT that asian skaters got no courage to competite with American skaters, but ESPN can totally remove the competition title for "Asia".   (Skatehere.Com)
